Leann on the "Today Show"

Leann Rimes was on the Today Show with Matt Lauer yesterday and among other things talked about her book and alleged affair. The book is called What I Cannot Change and the timing and title of the release of the book is quite curious to this blogger. About the alleged affair, Lauer read a quote and asked Rimes to respond. She said that it has been hard on the family, but refuses and refused to comment on tabloid reporting. Hmmm....I wonder what that means, although the timing of everything just seems too perfect. Anyway, here is video of both the interview with lauer and the performance that followed.

New Number One's!!!!

Keith Urban's new album Defying Gravity has debuted at the top of both the country album charts and the Billboard 200. That means he has the number one album in the country in all genres. Congratulations Keith! According to the Nielsen Soundscan, his album moved 171, 525 copies in the first week.

Also being de-throned is Darius Rucker as George Strait's "River of Love" assumes the top spot on the Hot Country Songs chart as "It Won't Be Like This for Long" moves to number 3, with Jake Owen sliding into the number two spot with his single "Don't Think I Can't Love You."

Toby Keith to Join the Rock Band Universe

Along with all of the new country album releases this month, it has been announced that MTV/Harmonix will release "a 6-pack" of Toby Keith songs for their popular Rock Band franchise on April 7th. The songs will be released on both XBOX Live and the Playstation Network. The songs are:
"Beer for My Horses"
"I Love This Bar"
"She's a Hottie"
"Should've been a Cowboy"
"Who's Your Daddy"
"How Do You Like Me Now"
The songs will be $1.99 each or $9.99 for the "6-pack." The other exciting thing about this, is that they are original masters of the tracks, which means that they have not been re-done by other musicians. Now all those daydreams about being Toby Keith are no longer wasted.
